Museum and the Shakers

Thursday we headed off to Rockland to see the Shaker exhibit at the Farnsworth Museum...we meaning, Terrie, Nancy, Gigi, Patsy and myself. We had a wonderful trip.  We had lunch at Hills Restaurant which Nancy had recommended. It was excelllent even though we circled the block 5 times before we found it. It was worth the time.
The exhibition was very nice with lots of Shaker furniture and displays about their way of life. We also enjoyed the paintings of Mr Abbey on the Shakespear play.
The permanent collection was fun to see with some of Alex Katz and George Bellows, as well as Andrew Wyeth, N.C. Wyeth and a sketch of Jamies.
Our next road trip will be in January and we will be going to the Colby Museum.
