The way to understand art is to go and look at it. And if out of a million visitors there is even one to whom art means something, that is enough to justify museums ( Pierre Auguste Renoir)
"Art is a lifetime matter. The best any artist can do is to
accumulate all the knowledge possible of art and its principles, study
nature and practice continually." (Edgar Payne, 1883-1947)

PAT's go to Corea

Plein Air Thursday group just returned from Corea...Maine. This is a beautiful ,small ,quiet coastal fishing village. The PAT's got together with instructor Linda Packard for a day of painting. After meeting at Shaw's parking lot we c"ar pooled and drove nearly 2 hours to land in Corea. After scouting the area for the perfect spot we decided on an in town" location to paint. After a morning of scouting and painting we then returned to our friends cottage and had lunch on the deck in the warm sunshine. The weather was perfect. No humidity, in the 70's and clear skies...not a drop of rain in sight.  ( could this be our Thursday??)
The afternoon was spent on the dock watching the Lobster boats return to the harbor and painting our hearts out. See pictures below of our painting day in beautiful Corea, Maine.
