Busy day

Today was a busy day in the art room. Gloria was having her reception for her art show at the Center.
I have included a few photos from that event as well as the groups paintings.
Carol painted this fun barn yard scene using acrylics. The title is
"What! Chicken Stew?!" Carol's use of color is fun and her loose
style creates movement. Great Job, Carol!
Sue painted her Grandson, Nathan with Sue's new
puppy, Zoe, using acrylics.

Sue painted this waterfront scene of Eastport using oils. The
under painting is a bright orange and it shows thorough to add to the
paintings style and looseness. This painting is in progress.

Rita painted this floral using pastels. These flowers were
in her back yard this past summer. Beautiful coral colors.
Great job Rita.

Priscilla painted this scene of clam diggers on the flats. She used
acrylics and painted the background first. She has sketched in
the figures lightly and will finish this next week.
This is going to be great, Priscilla.

Michelle painted this scene of Montana. The warm colors of the rock
juxtaposed against the cool blue sky is exciting. She used pastel
to create this beautiful scene. Wonderful, Michelle

Charlene painted this portrait of her daughter

Gigi painted this beautiful Mexican street scene using acrylics.

Rita painted this scene of MaƱana using pastels. This photo
does not do justice to the beautiful colors that she used. The

This apple was painted by Sue using oils.  The complimentary
colors make this painting come alive.

Barbara painted this little bird using watercolors. The colors
in this painting make this a happy and spring like painting.
Barb's style is loose and beautiful!

" The Ides of March" was painted by Barbara using watercolors.
The movement and colors demand the views attention. Barbra's
command of watercolor is an artistic delight.

Liz painted this interior scene using acrylics. She is
going away from her norm and using darker colors in her
painting. This is evokes a feeling of a warm and cozy inn, that
makes you want to stay awhile. This painting is in progress.
