This week was a beautiful day to paint. Fall is  in the air and the colors are now at peak. Brilliant.
Nancy came back this week after taking the summer off. She moved...need I say more. Unpacking boxes and organizing things and now painting and papering rooms. She was one busy lady.
Great to have you back Nancy.
Well wishes go out to Priscilla...I hear the boot is coming off soon...and it won't be long before you will be back at art group.
Charlene, Rita and Terrie are back from Italy...so far we've see Charlene.
Liz is busy in Rockport at the Barbara Jackson Gallery selling her paintings. She will be back with us before too long.
Michelle has been busy with family and visitors and traveling...hoping to see her soon.
Carol has been among the missing....she is selling lots of houses so she hasn't had much time to paint.
Gail has been busy and hopefully we will see her soon. We miss you all.

Here are some of the paintings we did this week.

Nancy set up this still-life and it was in honor of her grandfather. He loved to read and garden, in
fact her grew flowers to sell to the wealthy families that came to Acadia in the summer. She even has his photograph
behind the book. Nancy, He must be looking down on you today and smiling at this tribute.
The painting has a great composition and the the shadows are soft and interesting. The colors are
beautiful. Fabulous job, Nancy!

Linda stopped in to visit and Gigi is showing her some of her paintings.

Gigi painted frogs this week...several of them. She painted this bright frog among the weeds. She used acrylics to
paint this frog. The colors are bright and happy....love it Gigi!

Gigi painted this frog using acrylics. The movement in this painting is great along with the brushwork.

Gigi painted this happy frog using acrylics. Her background is interesting and colorful and sets off her
subject very well. Ribbit. Ribbit....Love it Gigi!

Gloria painted this thatched roof barn and stone wall using pastels. This Ireland scene is cozy and the the
barn shingle effect is interesting. She is painting on drawing paper...very difficult to do, but she is
turning out a beautiful and interesting piece. Lovely, Gloria.
