The way to understand art is to go and look at it. And if out of a million visitors there is even one to whom art means something, that is enough to justify museums ( Pierre Auguste Renoir)
"Art is a lifetime matter. The best any artist can do is to
accumulate all the knowledge possible of art and its principles, study
nature and practice continually." (Edgar Payne, 1883-1947)

Wishing Charlene a speedy recovery from her foot surgery.
Below is the art that was created today.
Michelle painted this organic bean with
pastels. Great greens and the beans are a
beautiful color. Great job Michelle.

Michelle painted the Solon Meeting House using pastels. Her method
of drawing in charcoal and then brushing off the lines and then
adding the color is unique and works very well. Beautiful sky!
Wonderful, Michelle!

Sue painted this still-life using acrylics. The challenge of this painting were the reflective objects and the folds of the
cloth.

Rita painted this beautiful, restful scene using pastels.
The Great Blue Heron adds to the interest of the composition.
Beautiful, Rita!

Priscilla painted these funky shoes using acrylics. The colorful subject is fun and interesting.
Love this one, Priscilla.

Rita used pastels to create this beautiful scene. The water colors are lovely and reflective. The contrast of the cool
water color and the warm foreground is dynamic. Beautiful Rita!

Gail painted this gnarled tree using acrylics. The dark tree against the beautiful background
makes this composition striking. The painting is in progress. Great job, Gail!

Nancy painted this background on pastel paper using oils. This will be a wonderful under painting.
Can't wait to see the finished painting. Wonderful, Nancy.

Gigi painted these Dahlias using acrylics. This colorful composition is arranged beautifully. The vines and
buds add to the interest. The warm colors of the flowers against the cool blue background is very nice.
Great Job, Gigi!

Carol painted this adorable dog with his head peeking through the barn using water color and ink. The outcome is a
lively, spirited, painting. Carols loose adaptation of the ink and watercolor transforms this painting
into an interesting and fun piece. Fabulous, Carol!

Carol painted this barnyard beauty using watercolor and ink. Her fresh approach and line quality makes this
Rooster painting successful. Beautiful Carol!

Carol used watercolor and ink to create this beautiful painting. The warm against the cool is exciting.
Love it, Carol!

Carol painted this fish in a net using ink and watercolor. Beautiful composition and colors.  This approach
of ink and watercolor makes for a very loose painting. Fabulous, Carol!

Liz painted this still-life using acrylics. Liz is working on the fabric folds and the vases. The warm background against
the cool colors of the still-life is exciting and beautiful. Fabulous Liz!
