The way to understand art is to go and look at it. And if out of a million visitors there is even one to whom art means something, that is enough to justify museums ( Pierre Auguste Renoir)
"Art is a lifetime matter. The best any artist can do is to
accumulate all the knowledge possible of art and its principles, study
nature and practice continually." (Edgar Payne, 1883-1947)

rich and the values are very good. Beautiful job, Rita!

Nancy painted this beautiful scene using oils. This photo
does not do justice to this incredible painting. The feathers of the

varied gradation of greens in her landscape and the
foreground is warm....I know it is not done but I love
it already!

to bring this fish to life. Love the colors. Fabulous, Carol!

Michelle drew this Notan of an artist working on granite. The
drawing is interesting and the values are exciting.
Very nice job, Michelle.

Rita adjusted a painting that she has been working on using
oil sticks. the rocks are colorful and the water is a great contrast
to the sharp angles of the rocks....Rita, Wonderful!

Liz painted this Mexican scene using acrylics. The painting
is in progress and Liz has gotten down some great shapes
and colors....can't wait to see the finished painting. Great Job, Liz

Michelle painted these crows using pastels. The green background
is exciting and sets the crows off in the painting. Fabulous,
Michelle.

Sue went crazy with acrylics painting this "wacky lady" leaning
on the table.....maybe a hoover!

Michelle painted this serene scene using pastels. The
reflections in the water is the cool colors in the foreground
and the warm colors are in the middle and the dark are back...she just flipped
the rules and she created a lovely scene. Fabulous!
