The way to understand art is to go and look at it. And if out of a million visitors there is even one to whom art means something, that is enough to justify museums ( Pierre Auguste Renoir)
"Art is a lifetime matter. The best any artist can do is to
accumulate all the knowledge possible of art and its principles, study
nature and practice continually." (Edgar Payne, 1883-1947)

Susan Toby White Workshop

Nine of our group attended Susan Toby White's one day workshop. ( Gail, Liz, Priscilla, Charlene, Carol, Linda, Terrie, Sheila, and Sue) We had a wonderful time painting with Susan. She worked on loosening us up doing under-paintings. After a delicious lunch we went back to work to paint a still life
of flowers on the canvas we had done the under-painting on. Shapes were etched out as well as colors, with the following results.... Fabulous workshop.
